The institute offers three main courses of study, Diploma in Pharmacy(D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy(B.Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm), Doctor in Philosophy(PhD) which were started in the years 1982, 1985, 1992, 1996 respectively, the intake per batch being 60 students for D.Pharm and B.Pharm, 50 students for M.Pharm. The institute has a highly qualified and experienced teaching staff spearheaded by the Principal Prof. B.G.Shivananda, a dynamic personality.

The college is well equipped with the latest laboratory facilities, computers and a treasure trove of a library with online electronic library information system. It has a large auditorium with a seating capacity of 300 people wherein seminars, conferences, workshops, symposia etc. are held.
