Prof. B.G. Shivananda, aged 54 years did his pharmacy education from Govt. College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, India. Presently, he is serving as Principal, Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy (AACP), Bangalore, India since 1985. He is a dynamic personality who has been contributing tremendously to all organizations where he has held various positions. His selfless service has resulted in great progress in many institutions.

He is well known personality all over the country for his administrative capabilities and he is a major icon behind the growth and success of Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy. He is the key person for the starting Post graduate programmes and Ph. D Programmes in AACP, which was the first private college to get PG and Ph. D programmes in Pharmacy. He has organized many continuing education programmes under AICTE, ISTE etc. Prof. Shivananda is one of the major contribution is setting up Dept. of Pharmacy practice in Victoria hospital for the rational use of drugs. He has also organized several conferences, symposiums and convention like 2nd APTI annual convention at Bangalore. He played a major role in setting up Drug Information Centre in KSPC, Office automation in KSPC and AACP. He has several publications in National and International journals.
